World Book Day 2024: What we are reading

At M.A.D, we are team passionate about words. Whether we’re getting lost in a thrilling mystery or immersing ourselves in the captivating stories of Greek Mythology, we always have a book (or audiobook!) on the go.

As a talented team of copywriters, content writers, and blog writers, we love keeping up to date with what others are reading and are always on the lookout for our next reading fix!

In honour of World Book Day, a day dedicated to celebrating books and reading across the world, we thought you might like to take a sneak peek at what’s on our reading list…

Amy, Managing Director

Currently reading: The Premonition by Banana Yoshimoto

“I’ve only just started reading this book, but I’m hooked already- it’s so intriguing and beautifully written. Love the cover too!”

Marie, Managing Director

Currently reading: The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

“This thriller is so gripping- I can’t put it down! Millie gets a job as a maid to a wealthy family, and it seems too good to be true…and, of course, it is! So many twists and turns, I can’t wait to find out how it ends!”

Rachael, social media and content co-ordinator

Currently reading: Mythos by Stephen Fry

“I’ve always loved Greek mythology (fun fact, I have medusa tattooed on my back), and a book that combines epic tales with a bit of Stephen Fry is just my cup of tea. The tales are told with a refreshing spin, so while they are stories I’ve heard plenty of times before, they feel fun and fresh. Highly recommend!”

Brooke, content co-ordinator

Currently reading: Murder of the Dance Floor by Shirley Ballas

“Combining my love for Strictly Come Dancing and crime fiction, I instantly knew that this book was the one for me. Immediately, I pressed pause on making my way through the Lisa Jewell back catalogue and put Murder on the Dance Floor at the top of my list. While I’m only a few chapters in so far, this book is shaping up to be a great read.”
