Beth’s First Year at M.A.D10.01.2019
It feels like only moments ago I was writing about my first week at M.A.D and how excited I was to get stuck in. A year in, I feel like I’m in exactly the right place. Ready to take on the new year and continue to expand upon my skills and learn from the most supportive team.
The last year at M.A.D has completely exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I’ve become one of those annoying people who likes to talk about how much they love their job. Our office is the perfect combination of professionalism, creativity, fun and support. Marie and Amy have made me feel like a respected member of the team from day one!
What have you learned?
I’ll probably miss something out here because I’ve learnt so much in the past year! Listening to feedback and asking a million questions throughout the year has seen my writing improve. From blog posts to product descriptions, and everything in-between!
When I first started this job, the thought of phone calls and meetings was a little daunting. I was quickly shown the ropes, and now I’m more than happy to chat away with clients and have perfected my email etiquette!
Introducing a design service to M.A.D was also a big learning curve. Marie and Amy have been so encouraging and instilled a confidence in me that really helps when creating something visual for a client. Naturally, the more design work I do, the more tips and tricks I pick up along the way.
What have been your best moments?
Anytime I receive positive feedback for my work is a good moment and just the general day to day routine in the office. It was also a special treat when we went to see Tom Jones for our summer do and enjoying my first spa day at Seaham Hall for Christmas!
What are your goals for the next year with M.A.D?
To keep creating quality work for clients and helping the business continue to grow. I want to expand upon my design skills and create a consistent and engaging social media brand for M.A.D. As long as I’m the best I can be, I’ll be happy!
